Double Done

Two at a time socks – finally off the needles. I’m glad I tried this technique (and gladder I’m finally finished) but I think for me my familiarity and ease of knitting socks on DPNs far out ways the gratification of being done both socks at the same time.



I got a package in the mail today with new knitting needles. In the spirit of Photo 101, I photographed them from 2 different perspectives: my normal shot from above:

I started doing a scrapbook for my parents for Christmas several years ago. I compile pictures of the family and put them together in one place. Every year I swear I’m going to work on it throughout the year. Every year it’s the last minute and I’m finishing. Tonight, it’s done … except for the uploading for printing.


November Rain

While technically under a heavy snow fall warning, the text of the forecast specifies “rain at times heavy” over Grand Manan Island. And that is what we have, though the rain has been a bit thick at times.

One Month to Go
