Last night I finally finished my nieces’ and nephews’ 2015 Christmas socks. Once again, I was a week late. I significantly overestimated the knitting time I would have in December.
So what started the year as this:
Finished as this:
That’s 9 pairs of socks ranging from my 11 year old niece’s size 9s down to my 2 1/2 year old nephews tiny toes. They’re all from my stash of Knit Picks Felici (Rainbow, Maple Leaves, Blackberry Jam, Sorbet, Time Traveler, Mountain Stream, Building Blocks, Rustic Cabin, and Lighthouse).
Some were done early in the year while most were finished in the past couple weeks (afterthought heels take longer than I like to remember).
Many have been documented on instagram at during travel:
(Orlando International)
(Washington Regan National)
(Grand Manan Adventure)
(Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau)
(Toronto Pearson)
(Saint John Airport)
(Toronto Pearson)
(Ottawa MacDonald Cartier)
At meetings:
On conference calls:
Or just hanging out:
Fortunately, I’ve restocked for Christmas 2016:
PS – This turned into a fun retrospective of my year in sock knitting (at least for me). 🙂 Happy New Year!
Wow! Totally impressed.

All I could think when reading this was the “Best of Friends” song from the Fox and the Hound… Looks like you and your socks made some precious memories! Hannah 🙂
