I was on a Granny Square run this winter but I kept hitting a colour block. I kept choosing the same combinations and I needed a fresh view to mix things up. I cornered my 11 year old niece one afternoon and gave her my bag of yarn. She took the challenge seriously and tried to use all the colours in my bag. There are combinations I wouldn’t have chosen myself, which was the entire point of the exercise. All in all, I love the way they turned out. 🙂
Perfect illustration of what a fresh set of eyes can bring to us. This is a great life lesson.

I need 192 for a double bed size and I’m in the 145-ish range. I’m telling myself I’m halfway there. 😎🧶

Holy moly! That’s a lot of yarn! I once made a “popcorn” or “yo-yo” quilt top. It was originally going to be for a queen size bed. Let’s just say, it quickly became a lap-size quilt. I admire your tenacity!
